Mouse poiner does not display

Bug Description
When I move the mouse around, I can see various things highlight when the mouse would be hovering over them, but I can not see the mouse cursor itself. Left and right click and scroll works fine.

I am sorry, I should have updated this. It appears to have been a problem with using the LTS version (14.04) Startup Disk Creator. When I use dd to to put the ISO image on the USB stick everything works as it should.
