Xubuntu 18.10 desktop wall paper not always changing when switching desktop

Testing Xubuntu 18.10.

When switching desktops it seems the wallpaper is not always changing accordingly. Please see here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/x353x8esgcc1u6v/switching%20workspace.mp4?dl=0

I have 4 desktops; one of which I have set up to have my own wallpaper. The others have the default wallpapers. In the clip I switch between the desktops 1, 2, 3 and 4; switching to desktop 2: the wallpaper of the previous desktop remains visible.
