Hardy LTS Upgrade terminal crashes

Bug Description

Hardy LTS Xubuntu upgrade Applications, Accessories, Terminal crashes user session back to logon every time. Will attach cpuinfo, meminfo, uname-a, lspci -vvnn, dmidecode, dmesg.log in successive attachements. Anything else useful? I don't know how to attach more than one attachment per entry?
