Bug Description

xubuntu 12.04.2 / xfwm4 4.10 (also applied to standard installed version)

Installed hibernate script and uswsusp

Expected xfce Panel Action button to perform Hibernate in similar way to via the Logout Dialog i.e. for it to work. It still doesn't work despite addition of hibernate / uswsusp. However, now hibernating via logout dialog continues to work but works even better than before with no errors. snapshotting>>s2disk

Using Action button on xfce panel however results in a system freeze at the snapshotting stage after shutdown of lightdm which never completes saving to disk and just hangs.

For some reason choosing the Hibernate option via the panel Action button must be doing something differently to the logout dialog which works. Both now call the same new s2disk program. But the previous setup without hibernate script installed had similar problem.

Is this issue still present in a current supported Xubuntu release (focal, impish, jammy)?
