Mouse cursor blinks while coming out of suspend

Bug Description
When I wake my ThinkPad T450 running Xubuntu 23.04 from suspend, sometimes the mouse cursor flashes 1 to 3 times before the form to unlock my session with my password appears. These flashes did not happen in Xubuntu 22.10.
Suspicious lines in the output of `sudo dmesg` around one wakeup:
