Bug Description

Binary package hint: xfce4-battery-plugin

xfce4-power-manager 1.0.10

Description: Ubuntu Natty (development branch)
Release: 11.04

Hovering over the battery icon while it is charging presents a status message. The wording is odd:

"8 minutes until is fully charged."

The sentence structure should be updated to include the word "it", as in "8 minutes until it is fully charged.", or "8 minutes until full charge."

I am using Ubuntu Natty 11.04 beta and the message appears to me is:

Laptop battery 0:25 until charged

I think it is grammatically correct. Could you please update your Ubuntu version and confirm if it is still exist.

Changed in xfce4-battery-plugin (Ubuntu):
status: New → Incomplete

I'm running Natty as you can see in the lsb_release that I pasted at
the top of the bug. I will take a screenshot if that helps.

What I meant have you did a recent updates to Natty as we both got different
results? My latest update was yesterday. So could you just check your
updates.

So, the real question is which language/locale are you both using? If the language is not the same, it may be a translation issue. Please do update your system and post the screenshot as an attachment to this bug. Thanks for helping improve Xubuntu.

Also, check that you're both speaking of the same thing: xfce4-battery-plugin, which is a plugin to add to the panel to show the battery status, or xfce4-power-manager, which displays an icon in the systray.

Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.

Thank you for the screenshot. It does show the grammar as incorrect.

Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!
