Bug Description

Binary package hint: xfce4-power-manager

HAL is no longer maintained and is in the process of being deprecated by the DeviceKit stack. Please update xfce4-power-manager to remove its dependency on HAL.

The upstream author reports that this effort is underway.

[15:42] <aliov> no, the devkit-power branch is almost ready, but devkit-power isn't, probably you know they are going to re-name the project to upower udisks, so that's why i'm waiting to release anything from that branch.

I can confirm the same thing is happening on lucid alfa 2 daily cd 2010-01-12

I can also confirm this during live-session of Xubuntu Lucid Alpha 2 - 2010-01-12.2
Dmesg output:
[ 98.535728] CPUFREQ: Per core ondemand sysfs interface is deprecated - up_threshold

Please, there is no bug to confirm here. This bug report was filed to track the upstream migration of xfce4-power-manager to devicekit. This is unlikely to happen for lucid anyway, as explained in the first comment.

So if you experience a bug with xfce4-power-manager, please file a separate bug report, thanks.
