Bug Description

Ubuntu 15.10
xfce4-power-manager 1.4.4-4ubuntu1

By default the delay after the lid is closed and before system is sent to sleep is 3 seconds which is annoying. Please remove it completely or reduce it to one or even halve a second. One could check what delay the systemd (logind) is using because it works very fast. Maybe one should wait until pm/sleep.d/ scripts finish and then go to sleep immediately with no delay at all. Or introduce an additional switch for the delay in seconds if it is really needed. What is it for anyway? De-bouncing or something?

The reason for this change is that I need to wait for 3 seconds every time I close the lid to check if the system is really sent to sleep. Due to a hardware bug (I suppose) the system does not always go to sleep and stays awake draining battery in an hour.

Btw, some people even switched to use systemd because of this delay:

would be nice to have it in 16.04 LTS,
thanks
