Bug Description

Hi,

I'm running Xubuntu (18.04 Bionic) and I've noticed that the button label to close a notification raised by notifyd is wrong in french (it's a noun "vue" instead of a verb like "Fermer").

You can find a screenshot in this discussion: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-notifyd/+question/676048

Please correct this either by changing translation in french from "vue" to "Fermer" or by pointing me to the french translation because I'm ok to do it myself.

Thanks for your help,

PS: I'm hoping ...
1. this button is a global default notifyd translation string and not managed plugin by plugin
2. this is just a translation issue and the code do not use a "shared" key requesting to perform some code change (to create / use a new key)
3. I will receive an answer and this issue will be quickly fixed ;-).

That string is not present in xfce4-notifyd:

The question is now: where does this label come from? I see 2 options:
1. from an other "core" project notifyd relies on? If so which one?
2. from the plugin itself displaying the notification? (In my screenshot it was Deepin: https://www.deepin.org/fr/original/deepin-screenshot ).

Thanks for your answers,

What is the purpose of that button? "View" and its translation "Vue" would imply that it is used to open the screenshot in an image viewer, and not just close the notification.

affects: xfce4-notifyd (Ubuntu) → deepin-screenshot (Ubuntu)

Many thanks for your answer out of notifyd scope ;-).

I will perform more tests on this button behavior after "click" because I need to check between 2 options:
- button closes the popup => it should be named "Fermer" in french. It's what is occurring right now but it can be a bug...
- button opens the image captured => it should be named "Ouvrir" or "Afficher l'image" in french
... all are "action verbs" instead of the current translation which is a noun meaning "panorama" (see movie "a room with a view" / https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Room_with_a_View_(1985_film)

I will let you know if you let this issue opened ... no hurry for now and thanks again.

It looks like the latest release 4.1.6 includes your translation changes.
