xfce4 notes plugin uses 100% CPU

Bug #1156487 reported by redtux on 2013-03-18

xfce4-notes-plugin (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

Xfce4 notes is running in background and consumes 100% CPU, even long before the icon finally appears in the task bar. And when it is loaded, it suddenly opens a second notes window (and a second icon). I already checked #690534, but I have no custom colors set...

In case some further information is needed to reproduce my behaviour, please let me know.
