Bug Description

indicator-sound for xfce4-panel (packaged in xfce4-indicator-plugin) opens "gnome-congrol-center sound" instead of an xfce4 specific one (like xfce4-mixer which has no pulseaudio specific options) or a more generic one like pavucontrol (which is written in gtk2 and fits perfectly on xubuntu-desktop).

I suggest using pavucontrol for xubuntu sound management on xfce4-indicator-plugin instead of "gnome-congrol-center sound".

Description: Ubuntu 11.10
Release: 11.10
Package: xfce4-indicator-plugin
Version: 0.3.1-1ubuntu3.1 0

Indicator-sound will try first "gnome-control-center sound", then "xfce4-mixer", etc. It only opens a gnome-specific app because you've installed it. Anyway, it's probably a bug for indicator-sound, not xfce4-indicator-plugin.

no longer affects: xubuntu-desktop
Changed in xfce4-indicator-plugin (Ubuntu):
