Bug Description

Following up on this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xubuntu-default-settings/+bug/972388 (asking for a UIFe for including datetime-plugin in the default panel in Precise), I'd like to propose another UIFe for applying a tiny patch to make the calendar look far better than it currently does.

There is an extra frame in datetime that doesn't look very nice with Xubuntu's default theme (Greybird) and removing it doesn't make it look less appealing with bright themes. A patched version (incl. diff) has been thoroughly tested and is available for Oneiric here: https://launchpad.net/~shimmerproject/+archive/ppa/+packages

The patch contains a line to remove the resize-grip from the calendar, but since Ubuntu decided to drop this patch from gtk2, it can most likely be dropped from this patch as well.
