With that driver the tablet should have been fully functional, pressure and all... but I have a better solution now anyway.

It turns out there's a tweak to the bluez package that needs to be made to enable the new kernel driver to work. I've uploaded a modified package to my ppa at

https://launchpad.net/~yobbobandana/+archive/ppa

Could you try installing this and see if it works?
You should also uninstall the driver I uploaded previously with the command:

sudo aptitude reinstall linux-image-`uname -r`

(backticks important)
After this, the tablet should hotplug and work fully except perhaps for the two pad buttons. You might need to turn it off and on again once initially, due to an unrelated bug.
