Bug Description

Intel MDS bug that Ubuntu has a wiki and blog about:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SecurityTeam/KnowledgeBase/MDS
https://blog.ubuntu.com/2019/05/14/ubuntu-updates-to-mitigate-new-microarchitectural-data-sampling-mds-vulnerabilities

Xen also published a security advisor, number 297:

http://xenbits.xen.org/xsa/advisory-297.html

I can't find xen-hypervisor in the package suggestions Launchpad gives, but it applies to various xen-hypervisor packages.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Since the package referred to in this bug is in universe or multiverse, it is community maintained. If you are able, I suggest coordinating with upstream and posting a debdiff for this issue. When a debdiff is available, members of the security team will review it and publish the package.
