Bug Description
If you look in /usr/lib/xen-tools you see all knids of symlinks to debian.d or to edgy.d etc for different releases of different operating systems. In the Precise version of xen-tools, there is no such symlink for precise.d. Making a symlink to karmic.d gets you a functional image installer.

JFTR: This is already fixed in Quantal which has 4.3.1-1, but of course that doesn't fix it for Precise.
