Bug Description

Hey all, whenever I use a line such as:

tap:aio:/home/xen/domains/beastie/freebsd7bootonly.iso,hdc:cdrom,r' in my config (attached) i get a 'boot device failed : 0003' error - this not only happens with this freebsd image but also 6 different windows XP images i tried to boot - a screenshot of VNC is also enclosed

I'm having a similar issue with tap:aio: but it isn't limited to cdroms. I too can't use tap:aio: for cdroms but also, Xen immediately does a poweroff if using tap:aio for a disk on *some* disks. Using older images that I've used in the past, tap:aio works, but if I create a new sparse file with dd, tap:aio fails with pretty much no errors. I've commented on the issue on xen-users.

I'm having the same issue, with a HVM windows geust, workaround is mount in Dom0 the iso in a /dev/loopX and attach it through a phy: device in the DomU. I hope this 'll be fixed for Hardy.

Does this happen with a newer Ubuntu version also? Thank you for testing!
