xemacs should support a -nox variant

Bug Description

Binary package hint: xemacs21

The xemacs package does not support a -nox variant similar to emacs-nox, making it impossible to install it on a system without bringing in GUI dependencies; this is undesirable on server installs.

(Despite the name, xemacs does *not* require X.) :-)

I'm using OS X as my desktop at the moment, so in a manner of
speaking, I suppose not. ^_^ I checked one of my machines running
Feisty Fawn, though, and it seems that xemacs still lacks a -nox
variant. It would be nice to have along the same lines as the GNU
Emacs -nox variant.

Nicolas - as far as I can tell, emacs21 (now called emacs23) is GNU emacs, and not xemacs.
Those are different (although very similar looking) programs.

There is GNU emacs with and without X, and there's xemacs with and without X.

Unfortunately, like the OP mantioned, the xemacs with nox variant isn't available in the ubuntu packages (as opposed to the gnu-emacs, or simply emacs, which is available both with and without x)

I too am looking for the xemacs-nox variant (as it's what we use at work, and I've grown quite used to it).
