Bug Description
Binary package hint: xdiskusage
After upgrading from Ubuntu 8.04 to 8.10 xdiskusage 1.48-7ubuntu1 shows no text. The fonts are the same color as the background. They flicker black white when clicked upon.

I freshly installed abiword and it has the same behavior.
For completeness sake I should ad that my graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000 and I use NVIDIA driver 96.43.09.

Disabling compiz makes the problem go away, both in xdiskusage and abiword. Disabling individual effects doesn't (although I haven't tested all possible combinations)
