xdiagnose does not launch

Xdiagnose won't launch. I tried to report bugs with it, but nothing happened when I launched it from the dash.

My sound settings are inactive and my system will not suspend, reboot or shut down except by using the power button.

What is the command line you're using? Does it work if run from gnome-terminal? Does it show any error messages?
