Bug Description

I have some kernel problems at the moment. That's another problem. but every time I boot to the graphical user Interface and I get the message "Your screen is running in low-graphics-mode", I cannot do anything anymore with the graphical gui. as long I don't get my mouse working.

The first message with the simple button can easily be clicked away by pressing return key.
But the next dialog showing 4 option boxes does not get focus and I can try whatever I want (pressing tab, space, esc, return etc.) I can't close the dialog or choose any option. The only thing possible is pressing ctrl+alt+f2 to switch to a text console.

This bug appears in Ubuntu Precise 12.04 but was already there in earlier versions of ubuntu.

Especially diagnostic tools SHOULD be accessable without a mouse...

This is simple to reproduce by editing lightdm.conf and setting greeter-session= to something made-up, like greeter-session=foo and then restarting lightdm with sudo initctl restart lightdm.

In my VM where I repro'd this, I'm running stock precise, with xdiagnose 2.5.
