Bug Description
Binary package hint: xclip
Version of xclip from upstream doesn't support UTF-8, so all multibyte characters become 2 single-byte chars.

Second patch is actually a Morita Sho patch with reversed logic: it enables UTF-8 mode by default, this is more useful for Ubuntu/Debian.
