Binary package hint: xchat-gnome
I've recently switched from xchat to xchat-gnome, and now have a limitation on the number of auto-join channels I can have. Although the channels are listed properly in ~/.xchat2/

So, there is another limit, set by CHANLEN in xchat.h being set to 300. That limit is in xchat also, so doesn't impact people like me who have switched from xchat to xchat-gnome.
