Computer locks up when xbmc tries to open a stream

Bug Description

I was trying to view a video from the academic earth addon: Subject > Computer Science, and each time I try to play a video, xbmc locks up and I can't even alt-tab out of it. I have to hit ctrl-alt-F12 then crtl-alt-delete to reboot my pc.

I've got the same bug, however I'm not sure if it is something I am doing wrong. I'm a Noob at all this.
