Since Ubuntu 11.10, the config examples in ~/.xbindkeysrc are enabled by default:
#"xbindkeys_show"
control+shift + q
# set directly keycode (here control + f with my keyboard)
"xterm"
c:41 + m:0x4
# specify a mouse button
"xterm"
control + b:2
The shortcut ctrl+f example for xterm is particulary annoying as this is a much used shortcut in lots of softwares for searches. After an upgrade, users see this shortcut acting strangely as they probably won't make a connection to xbindkeys which they might have installed years before.
It would be great to comment those example in this file to avoid confusion.
Thanks a lot. |
