Bug Description
Binary package hint: xarchiver
When creating a new archive, I often select "Add the archive extension to the filename". However, when there is a folder with the same name (e.g. I try to create lotsoffiles.tar.gz but there already is a folder lotsoffiles) and I click "Create" then it won't create the new archive but will browse the contents of that folder (so instead of creating lotsoffiles.tar.gz I would see lotsoffiles/*).

Hi,
Thanks for your bug report.
I don't think this is a bug, but the default gtk dialog behavior.
Reassigning to gtk.
