Proposed workaround until fixed:

  sudo dpkg -P libxapian-1.3-4
  sudo apt-get upgrade

when the old libxapian-1.3-4 package is purged, the upgrade is again possible .

the method of dino99 (9d9) work. Now i can upgrade normally.after an apt-get -f install

cheers, it helpt me, too. Because for 30 minutes my auto update collapsed,too with the same error msg. But now, this method works pretty good. Have a nice day. Toni
