wvdial hangs on latest upgrades

Bug Description
Binary package hint: wvdial
Installing latest updates seems to have brought back the wvdial hanging issue. Now installing any updates or packages causes the hang, which in turn seems to cause ubuntu-desktop to error out as well.
As I said, this happened before, seemed to have been fixed, but now is back as of Friday's (I think) update.

Faced with this bug. Nework upgarde and installation from alternate CD was freezed on wvdial configuration.
I've tried to upgrade/install 64bit ubuntu on Acer Aspire 5021 WLMI
