Disabling the 'show window' option breaks the launcher

I've disabled the "show window" option in workrave, so the window doesn't hang about all the time. Now when I click on workrave, I get an error dialog saying "Workrave failed to start - Is Workrave already running?" - instead of the workrave window.

This happens frequently for me on logging with workrave set to autostart, on Ubuntu 14.04
