Bug Description
Environment:
Command lsb_release -rd yields:
Description: Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS
Release: 22.04
Note: using the Xubuntu distribution, with the Xfce window manager.
Command apt-cache policy wmctrl yields:
wmctrl:
Installed: 1.07-7build1
Candidate: 1.07-7build1
Version table:
*** 1.07-7build1 500
500 http://
100 /var/lib/
Using version 0.8.10-1 of package xfce4-terminal.
How to reproduce the bug:
1. Open a terminal window, not maximized vertically.
2. Give the following command: wmctrl -r :ACTIVE: -b add,maximized_vert
3. Repeat the command in step 2.
Expected result: After step 2, the terminal window is maximized vertically. After step 3, there's no change to the size or position of the terminal window.
Observed result: After step 2, the terminal window is maximized vertically. After step 3, the terminal window returns to its previous size. This happens consistently: giving the command many times in a row in effect toggles the vertical maximization.
See image file bug.png, in which three screenshots are conflated.
Note 1: The same bug occurs even when the title of another window is substituted for :ACTIVE:.
Note 2: The same bug occurs occasionally when adding the maximized_horz property, but not consistently.
