Bug Description

This bug happend with Kubuntu Edgy 6.10
Running on a Lenovo 3000 N100 Vender Item Code: 0768DLU
Below is a short list of my hardware using lspci

When I try to connect to a WIFI network on eth1 I loose my wired connection. It seems the the /etc/resolv.conf gets modified with the subnet route host and no external DNS's.

When I installed the Gnome NetworkManager applet things seemed to work correctly, however I still couldn't have two networks established at the same time. Maybe because there is no way to have different networks use a different set of DNS's.

Another related issue is a delay in the booting of the system. I've isolated this to the configuration of eth1 (WIFI). You will see a delay in acquiring the eth1 connection.
See below:

# /etc/init.d/networking restart

This is very likely a duplicate of bug 64841. Try adding the edgy-proposed repository to your /etc/apt/sources.list and upgrade wlassistant.
