Bug Description

The trusty package has a pretty outdated version of 1.10.6 which segfaults on Ubuntu 14.04, see
https://bugs.wireshark.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=10448

Can you please build the latest from the source and update it here? Even better, ensure automatic deployment?

Thanks heaps!

I doubt that the package will be updated for things other than security updates.

A Debian/Wireshark developer maintains more recent packages in a PPA, please give it a go:

The latest version is available in the latest version of Ubuntu.

Security fixes are backported to older supported releases like Trusty.

Full backports of latest upstream releases are available from the PPA, mentioned by Peter.
