Bug Description
Ubuntu 10.10 (not 10.4) blocks all my windows CD's from running under wine as they are not marked as executable files. I cannot change the permissions because they are on CD's and hence Read Only. I cannot (and do not want to ) make a copy of all the CD's I use rarely onto my hard drive and run from there - and in any case some of the CD's are protected to prevent this.
Is there a fix that I can't see or am I going to have to rollback to 10.4 which lacked this amazingly crass feature (why no override possibility on block?)
