Tried to install quicken 2010 using Wine Beta..didnt wrk, tried uninstal, didnt wrk, uninstalled Wine completely but it still show as an application w/ quicken 2010

Wine won't uninstall. Ultimately would like to install quicken 2010.

http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=18171 might help you with installation.
Uninstalling in wine is a bit more hit and miss - the simplest approach is to delete the folder you installed to (~/.wine by default) - Be advised that this will remove all wine programs installed to there.
To install different programs in different folders with wine see http://wiki.jswindle.com/index.php/Wine_Prefixes
Could you please confirm whether this is still an issue with a recent version of wine (preferably 1.2) from https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-wine/+archive/ppa ? (please ask if you need help with this)
