Copy and pasting my answer from there:
It seems you still have the wine packages from https:/ /launchpad. net/~ubuntu- wine/+archive/ ubuntu/ ppa installed. Following this link, you'll see that it is "double deprecated". Please remove this PPA from your sources.list.
You now tried to install the current Debian/Ubuntu Wine packages. For this to work you have to uninstall the old packages. Use something like this:
sudo apt purge wine wine1.8 wine1.8-amd64 wine1.8-i386
If you want to use the packages provided by winehq.org instead (see above link) you still should remove the old PPA from your repository and uninstall its packages.
