Bug Description

Since the last Steam update two weeks ago, I have no sound with Wine and OSS in Counter-Strike: Source.

I'm not sure if this is a Wine or OSS problem. ALSA works, but the game crashes very often.

I use an Abit KN8 SLI mainboard with onboard sound.

We need your help!

Thank you very much in advance!

I have this issue as well and I would be happy to provide any useful info. I do not know how to isolate what is causing the regression.

This should be fixed by now in Hardy with the new sound drivers.

Regarding Wine and Hardy: Wine doesn't play well with the PulseAudio included in Hardy by default. Try turning off all sound apps before running Wine (or just disabling Pulse audio).
