Bug Description

Binary package hint: wine

I have Wine version 0.9.43~winehq0~ubuntu~7.04.1 install on Ubuntu Feisty Fawn amd64. Wine is supposed to have out of the box support for installed CUPS printers, however no applications run in Wine detect a printer installed.

Looking through the Wine registry, I don't see any of the keys for printing as some websites have suggested should exist.

Currently I'm unable to print from within any Wine applications.

Have you set your printer as "default" in cups-manager?

My printer didn't work before that.

I will have a fix for this ready soon. The issue is that the 64 bit package build script isn't linking with the libcups library in /usr/lib32

I'm running 0.9.56 on Gutsy amd64. In quicken 2001 basic, the print dialogs all seem to behave correctly, but no printing occurs. I just installed the same version on a 32 bit laptop and with the same version of Ubuntu/wine/quicken printing does work.

On a peculiar side note, the backup function in quicken, which basically just copies the data file to a specified location, doesn't work at all in the 64 bit environment, and only works partially in the 32 bit environment. By "partially", I mean that it backs up one of my account files perfectly, but when I open the other account file and try to back it up it (quicken) says "unable to open source file". In the 64bit environment it gives this error for both of my data files. That seems pretty weird to me. Thanks for listening.
