I'm going to step out on a limb here with some opinion.

The theme that Linus, or even Mark Shuttleworth, is irrelevant. So is discussion about Kubuntu or any other *derivative* distribution.

The default theme in Ubuntu is "Human" and apps that do not support metacity/gnome themes (like Wine and Qt) should have some similar themes added to at least make an effort to integrate well with the default theme. Requests to support native themes with Wine are likely to be much more difficult to solve leaving us with no interim solution. Those requests should be placed in another (upstream) bug.
