Bug Description
Binary package hint: wifi-radar
Stumbling over an access point with invalid UTF-8 in its name produces this warning:
/usr/sbin/
There is no requirement that access point names be valid UTF-8 (in fact, this one was valid Latin-1 "nätverk" or some such) so the strings should not be displayed untranslated.

http:// lists.apple. com/archives/ macnetworkprog/ 2006/Nov/ msg00026. html and an informal perusal of the documents via ieee802.org seems to confirm that there is no firm standard on this. (However, bug #27171 would seem to allege that Latin-1 is in fact the standard. I seriously doubt this, though.)
