2007-04-22 08:50:00 Ante Karamatić description Binary package hint: wifi-radar After removing wifi-radar package logging in takes a very long time and produces an error. Eventually I get this message: "There was an error starting the GNOME Settings Daemon. Some things, such as themes, sounds, or background settings may not work correctly. The last error message was: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. GNOME will still try to restart the Settings Daemon next time you log in." It looks like wifi-radar package doesn't correctly uninstall itself. I use Ubuntu 7.04. When I install wifi-radar again login-in works fine. wifi-radar remains in boot-up after removing the package. Disabling it in Boot-Up manager solved the problem, but I still think it should be done automatically by uninstalling script.
