Bug Description
Binary package hint: wicd
wicd always shows "connecting" even when connected, except when off line
see attached screenshot
Kubuntu 9.04 (2009 June 17)
I expected that once connected, it would display 'connected' rather than 'connecting'

Hi, I just noticed that under Kmenu > System Settings > Advanced >
Hardware > Network Management Backend that only Network Manager and Fake
Net are listed, wicd in not. All I can do there is move one up or the
other down in the list, but I can't delete Network Manager or add wicd.
It this a problem with System Settings? Perhaps this is causing the
problem with wicd not working properly?
