Bug Description

In Ubuntu 12.10, Wesnoth 1.10 does not capture keypresses from ALT.

CTL-R, for instance, correctly calls up the recruit menu, while CTL-ALT-R does nothing (it should call up the recall menu).

I am assuming some conflict in keybindings, but don't know the details.

ALT+R is the default keybinding for recalling units (and works fine for me), not CTRL+ALT+R.

Sorry, typo.

ALT+R for recalling units does *not* work for me on 12.10.
CTL+ALT+R for repeating the last recruit does *not* work for me on 12.10.
ALT+S for the status table does *not* work for me on 12.10.

While CTL+R for recruiting does work on 12.10.

Further, the display manager keybindings for ALT work fine. CTL+ALT+L locks the screen fine. ALT+TAB brings up the application switcher fine. So it is not my ALT key.

Further, in LibreOffice, CTL+ALT+C correctly inserts a comment, so it is not the display manager capturing *all* ALT keypresses and not passing them along.

From the behavior it is extremely clear that ALT is not being captured by Wesnoth, and that this behavior is limited to Wesnoth.

I don't know what further information I can provide given that I have the bug but you for some reason don't. However, it is very clearly valid to me.

Bug still exists as of June, 2013. Very annoying, and no ideas for a workaround.
