Bug Description

Binary package hint: wengophone

I start wengophone, insert my password and user and wengowhone stay forever searching the network.... And continue to download kbytes on my network....

Could you make a capture of the SIP traffic (i.e. towards port 5060) and attach it here, please?

For example you can do:

tcpdump -i eth0 -s 0 -n -w sip-dump.pcap port 5060

substituting "eth0" with the interface you are using to connect to Internet.
Start it before launching wengophone, let it run for half a minute, then stop it with CTRL-C, gzip the sip-dump.pcap and attah it here.
You can inspect the traffic that was captured by opening the .pcap file with wireshark (or the former ethereal).

Can you attach the full wengophone output (when lauched in a terminal), please?

I suspect it is the same problem as #135562

You are correcting registering with the SIP server.

The problem is the same described in bug #135562, caused by a missing patch for Qt 4.2. The latest version (2.1.1.dfsg0-4ubuntu1) should solve your problem.
