Bug Description
Hello,
When I run weirdx (installed from Zesty official repo.) the program exits quickly, printing the following message on stderr :
"Error! CRCs do not match! Got 1a6cd7b3, expected 0"
But if I rebuild it locally with apt-build, then the problem disappears.
Notice both are the same source version 1.0.32-6 , leading to official binary package 1.0.32-6 and my recompiled package 1.0.32-6+aptbuild1 .
Any idea ?
Sincerely,
Valentin

Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better.
I've confirmed this issue with weirdx 1.0.32-6 on Ubuntu Artful. It also seems like a rebuild fixes the issue (at least a window appears then). I suspect some underlying library has been updated at some point in the past without weirdx being rebuilt in the mean time. Forwarded the issue to the Debian maintainer (see the attached bug watch), which might know more.
Also checked with some older versions of Ubuntu, and ran into the same issue on 14.04, so it looks like it has been here for a while. Hopefully it is easily fixable by rebuilding the current development release of Ubuntu and then applying a rebuild for all older, currently supported releases.
