Thanks for reporting.

Newer package versions are normally synced from Debian to the Ubuntu development version. Once the release approaches, the automatic sync stops to focus on stabilizing and bugfixes, though it is still possible to add new versions through a feature freeze exception, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess.

I'm not sure whether this falls in under the bugfix category, or if you need a Freeze Exception, but I've subscribed the ubuntu-release team so that they can take a look at it.

By the way, you can use 'requestsync' from the ubuntu-dev-tools package to more easily report bugs like this with extra information.

'requestsync -e' can be used for Feature Freeze Exception syncs.

Please take a look at the changes between Ubuntu's current version and this proposed update. If any of them are not bug fixes, you need a feature freeze exception. Please then update this bug report with the information requested in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess

I'm setting this bug to incomplete so others don't keep looking at it until it's clear there is anything for us to check. Once there is, please update it back to new. Thanks!
