Bug Description

mako 20131017

TEST CASE:
1. Launch browser and navigate to google.com and select maps
2. When asked to allow location request, select "Allow" option
3. Enable "Location detection" and "GPS" from location indicator menu
4. Leave the device to obtain a GPS fix. This can take up to 15 mins for a cold start and must be near a window. Also leave the device in active state using command "powerd-cli display on bright"
5. Once a GPS fix has been obtained and position shown on Google maps press on the Navigation icon (3rd icon from right)
6. Tap in either the Start Address or End Address fields

EXPECTED RESULT:
The OSK should load to allow the user to input their required location

ACTUAL RESULT:
The OSK does not load and the user is not able to input their required location.

I have noticed that if the device does not have a location fix, then the OSK will appear as expected. This behaviour only seems to happen if a location is available.

I first notice this on image 98 and I can confirm it is in effect still on 99 and 100.

I reproduced on the latest image without waiting for a fix (build 46 mako)
The OSK also did not appear when I returned to the map view.
Pulling the OSK up using the url field somehow then enabled it for the other input fields again.

This intermittent problem has been reported for various web pages including Ubuntu SSO.

summary: - OSK does not appear in Google maps route planning when device location
- is available
+ OSK does not appear intermittently in various text input fields

Easy way to reproduce

Open maps.google.com
click on the search field, OSK will come up
click in the map to dismiss osk
go to the dash and select the browser
select the search field again, no OSK

The webpage shows the cursor and responds to the touch in the input field
Watching top I can see that the maliit server does not run, whereas when the osk appears it does
