Snap apps have pixelated icons in Wayland session

Bug Description

I installed telegram-sergiusens but as per bug #1705122 I could not launch it from the menu. So I started it from GNOME Software using the Launch button. The icon appears terribly blurred.

This happens only under Wayland sessions. On X the icons appears correctly.

I confirmed this. Installed and ran Atom from the snap package, and indeed the icon appearing on the dock is noticeably blurry compared to others. Same for VLC.

If the icon is fine under and xorg session then the snap probably provides what is need and it's more likely a gnome-shell bug. Marco could you have a look?

Ubuntu 17.10 (artful) reached end-of-life on July 19, 2018.
