It is with great pleasure I am pleased to announce that the Linux Agent (WALA) version 2.2.15 has now been signed off and is in Master now, it is of huge thanks to the dev team behind it who have really done a great job and for those of you who have contributed with feedback to make it better.
There are multiple fixes in here, including a fix for Azure Stack, RMDA:
[#783] -- The agent fails to use the standard Linux environment variables for HTTP proxy
• [#784] -- Adjust http retry and logging
• [#786] -- Add Provisioning.SshHostKeyPairType=auto to support ssh-keygen -A
• [#791] -- Prevent bloating sudoers waagent when agent has problem
• [#792] -- Clearlinux distro_name does not match
• [#796] -- Accommodate new Clear Linux distro string in os-release
• [#798] -- Support Ubuntu RDMA driver update
• [#800] -- HostGAPlugin still use proxy while auto-updating
• [#801] -- Agent fails to clean-up PID files
• [#807] -- The agent should not emit duplicate events
• [#808] -- The agent should more gracefully handle out-of-space disk errors (IOError 28)
• [#811] -- Comments inline in /etc/waagent.conf cause config to not be read

[Impact]
This release contains both bug-fixes and new features and we would like to
make sure all of our supported customers have access to these improvements.

[Test Case]
The following development and SRU process was followed:

The Microsoft Azure Linux Agent team will execute their testsuite, which
includes extension testing , against the walinuxagent that is in
-proposed. A successful run will be required before the proposed walinuxagent
can be let into -updates.
The CPC team will be in charge of attaching a summary of testing to the bug. CPC team members will not
mark ‘verification-done’ until this has happened.
