X crashes when wacom USB tablet is unplugged

Bug Description
Binary package hint: xorg
When I plug in my wacom bamboo (usb) then it is recognized automatically by the X server. If I unplug it again, the X server crashes - see log below.
I'm using Ubuntu intrepid 8.10, latest packages installed
