Bug Description

The Ubuntu Error Tracker has been receiving reports about a problem regarding w3m. This problem was most recently seen with package version 0.5.3-34, the problem page at https://errors.ubuntu.com/problem/3f6113edb04c6776b7b76dba33751ddb43fdc17c contains more details, including versions of packages affected, stacktrace or traceback, and individual crash reports.

While doing some bug cleanup work, I found this old bug.

The reports point to the w3m version shipped with Ubuntu Ubuntu 16.04. Also, I checked that the bug is not present in the upper series (no facing this using the cmd proc lines from some of them).

Ubuntu 16.04 (xenial) reached end-of-standard-support on April 29, 2021. I'm afraid this bug can't be fixed. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs promptly; it appears to be no further action possible at this time.

Due to the above, I'm marking this bug as "Won't fix".
