Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
Reproduce by typing the following command in a blank shell
for i in {1..200}; do echo "Some random echo output for line $i"; done
The following methods for scrolling are significantly slower than in OSX's Terminal.app (I believe they're also slower than in previous versions of Ubuntu, but I don't have anything handy to test):
* mouse-wheel scrolling
* clicking near the top of the scroll bar when all the way at the bottom
* clicking near the bottom of the scroll bar when all the way at the top
* clicking on either the top or the bottom arrow of the scroll bar
This bug makes it really hard for me to do development work in Ubuntu.

that's an old and known issue with vte, not a gnome-terminal problem.
